The new ways to make money on Youtube(YouTube New Partner Program Eligibility 2023 )
What happened? YouTube recently announced three major updates that will have a significant impact on all YouTube creators, particularly smaller channels and short-form creators.
Updates to the Youtube partner program
Let's start with number one. YouTube is changing the eligibility requirements for its YouTube Partner program, first by introducing a new monetization path for short-form creators and then by adding a new tier that will allow smaller channels to qualify sooner.
Let's just address the elephant in the room: how do you feel about this? On one hand, we are very happy that YouTube is allowing Schwartz creators to join the YouTube Partner program, which was not previously an option, but on the other hand, 10 million views in the last 90 days.
That appears to be a bit extreme. I'm not going to lie, but we've seen the viral potential of shorts and how many views they can get time and time again, so this could be very reasonable.
I'll leave it to you to decide. Tell us what you think about this.

Lowering requirements to get into the partner Program
the second YouTube is introducing a new partner program tier with lower entry requirements. This update will allow smaller channels to gain access to some monetization features much sooner.
Full YouTube Partner program membership entitles you to 10 monetization features that allow you to make money on YouTube.
Previously, the only way to access those features was to meet all of YouTube's eligibility requirements. However, YouTube is now adding a new tier with lower requirements that will give smaller creators access to four of those ten features: super thanks, super chats, super stickers, and channel memberships.

YouTube says that this new tier will be available in 2023 alongside the rollout of the new monetization pathway on Youtube for short-form creators.
New monetization for Shorts
Number three, generate revenue from shorts now, as opposed to the 100 million dollar shorts fund that was launched last year.
a program that only awarded top shorts creators based on views and engagements on their shorts; this will be paid out to all creators in the YouTube Partner program, not just the big guys; this is made possible by ads that will begin running between shorts and revenue that YouTube will share with creators.
This will look very different from the revenue share we're used to seeing on YouTube for traditional videos. Revenue is split between YouTube and the sole Creator who owns the video that the advertisement ran on, but with shorts, because there is a string of videos playing one after the other with different creators, revenue is split between YouTube and the sole Creator who owns the video that the advertisement ran on. YouTube will be required to share ad revenue with all creators involved as well as the music rights holders who power the music used in the shorts experience.
Finally, 45 percent of all money from shorts advertisements will be allocated to all short-form producers based on their overall share of shorts views in each nation, making shorts a viable option for all creators.
which change are you more thrilled about the YouTube shorts monetization route decreasing the threshold to access the YouTube Partner program or the fact that they're adding Revenue share for shorts that benefit all short form creators.
